CFN was not successful in their application for a 2009 Invasive Alien Species Partnership Program Grant  from Environment Canada to work at prevention, detection and management of invasive plants at the site.  We had asked for $ to present a public workshop on invasive plants and for contractors to weekly mechanically control invasive plants including Canada Thistle, Japanese Knotweed, Giant Hogweed, Cleavers, Himalayan Blackberry, Reed Canary Grass, Scotch Thistle and Tansy Ragwort.

Our application for a BC Gaming Fund grant in August 2009 for $ to continue invasive species control and native shrub and tree planting activities was denied.  The Club will need to fund raise to continue to maintain this property.
